If One Of The Two Who Are Married Accepts Islam
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، جَاءَ مُسْلِمًا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ مُسْلِمَةً بَعْدَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا قَدْ كَانَتْأَسْلَمَتْ مَعِي . فَرَدَّهَا عَلَيْهِ .
Translation
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas
A man came, having accepted Islam during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and then his wife came, having accepted Islam after him. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed she had accepted Islam with me." So he restored her to him.
