Where Should The Imam Stand In Relation To The Deceased When Offering The Funeral Prayer ?

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَصَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَاتَتْ فِي نِفَاسِهَا فَقَامَ عَلَيْهَا لِلصَّلاَةِ وَسَطَهَا .
Translation
Narrated Samurah bin Jundab
I prayed behing the Prophet (ﷺ) over a woman who died in childbirth, and he stood opposite her waist.
