حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْحُومُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ بَابَنُوسَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعَثَ إِلَى النِّسَاءِ - تَعْنِي فِي مَرَضِهِ - فَاجْتَمَعْنَ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ إِنِّيلاَ أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَدُورَ بَيْنَكُنَّ فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ أَنْ تَأْذَنَّ لِيَ فَأَكُونَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ فَعَلْتُنَّ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَأَذِنَّ لَهُ

A’ishah reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent for his wives—meaning during his illness—and they gathered. He said: “Indeed, I am not able to go around among all of you. If you see fit to permit me that I stay with A’ishah, then do so.” So they permitted him.
