Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِابْنِ مَرْيَمَ الأَنْبِيَاءُ أَوْلاَدُ عَلاَّتٍ وَلَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ نَبِيٌّ " .
Translation
Ahmad ibn Salih narrated to us; Ibn Wahb narrated to us. He said: Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab, that Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman informed him that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: ‘I am the closest of people to the son of Mary. The prophets are paternal brothers, and there is no prophet between me and him.’
