Translation

Ahmad ibn Amr ibn al-Sarh narrated to us; Ibn Wahb narrated to us, from Bakr ibn Mudar, from Ibn al-Had, from Abdullah ibn Dinar, from Abdullah ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah said: ‘I have seen none more overpowering to a discerning person than you women, who are described as deficient in reason and religion.’ A woman asked, ‘What is the deficiency in reason and religion?’ He replied, ‘The deficiency in reason is that the testimony of two women is [equivalent to] the testimony of one man; and the deficiency in religion is that one of you breaks her fast during Ramadan and spends days not praying.’
