Translation

‘Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Jarir narrated to us, from Mansur, from al-Minhal ibn ‘Amr, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek protection for al-Hasan and al-Husayn, saying: ‘I place you both in the protection of Allah’s perfect words from every devil, every venomous creature, and every harmful evil eye.’ Then he would say, ‘Your father used to seek protection for Isma‘il and Ishaq with them.’ Abu Dawud said: This is evidence that the Qur’an is uncreated.
