Sunan Abi Dawud 4738
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي سُرَيْجٍ الرَّازِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : " إِذَا تَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ بِالْوَحْىِ سَمِعَ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ لِلسَّمَاءِ صَلْصَلَةً كَجَرِّ السِّلْسِلَةِ عَلَى الصَّفَا فَيُصْعَقُونَ، فَلاَ يَزَالُونَ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُمْ جِبْرِيلُ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَهُمْ جِبْرِيلُ فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوبِهِمْ " . قَالَ : " فَيَقُولُونَ : يَا جِبْرِيلُ مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكَ فَيَقُولُ : الْحَقَّ فَيَقُولُونَ : الْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ " .
Ahmad ibn Abi Surayj al-Razi, ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Ibrahim, and ‘Ali ibn Muslim said: Abu Mu‘awiyah narrated to us: al-A‘mash narrated to us, from Muslim, from Masruq, from ‘Abd Allah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘When Allah speaks revelation, the inhabitants of heaven hear the heavens make a clanging sound, like a chain dragged over a smooth rock, and they are struck down. They remain in that state until Jibril comes to them. When Jibril reaches them, the fear is lifted from their hearts, and they ask, “Jibril, what did your Lord say?” He replies, “The Truth.” They say, “The Truth, the Truth.”’
