Sunan Abi Dawud 4771
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي، إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ : " مَنْ أُرِيدَ مَالُهُ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ فَقَاتَلَ فَقُتِلَ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ " .
Translation
Musaddad narrated to us: Yahya narrated to us, from Sufyan, who said: ‘Abd Allah ibn Hasan narrated to me: My uncle Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Talhah narrated to me, from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amr, from the Prophet (ﷺ), who said: ‘Whoever is attacked with intent to take his property unlawfully, then fights and is killed, is a martyr.’
