Sunan Abi Dawud 4616
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ { مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ * إِلاَّ مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ } قَالَ إِلاَّ مَنْ أَوْجَبَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ يَصْلَى الْجَحِيمَ .
Translation
Abu Kamil narrated to us; Isma‘il narrated to us; Khalid al-Hadhdha narrated to us. He said: I said to al-Hasan, ‘“You cannot lead anyone into temptation concerning Him, except one who is to burn in the Blaze.”’ He replied, ‘Except one whom Allah, Exalted is He, has decreed will burn in the Blaze.’
