Sunan Abi Dawud 4626
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هِلاَلُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الْبَتِّيِّ، قَالَ مَا فَسَّرَ الْحَسَنُ آيَةً قَطُّ إِلاَّ عَلَى الإِثْبَاتِ .
Translation
Hilal ibn Bishr narrated to us; Uthman ibn Uthman narrated to us, from Uthman al-Batti, who said: ‘Al-Hasan never interpreted a verse except in a manner affirming [divine decree].’
