حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَإِذَا ابْتَدَأَ الصَّلاَةَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَهُمَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ رَفْعَهُمَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏ أَحَدٌ غَيْرَ مَالِكٍ فِيمَا أَعْلَمُ

Nafi’ said

That Abdullah ibn Umar used to raise his hands level with his shoulders when he started the prayer, and when he raised his head from bowing, he raised them lower than that.

Abu Dawud said: As far as I know, no one other than Malik mentioned raising them lower than that.
