When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up for prayer, he uttered the takbir, then said: "I have turned my face towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, inclining to truth, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. And this is what I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the King, there is no god but You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged my soul and acknowledged my sin, so forgive me all my sins, for no one forgives sins except You. Guide me to the best of morals, for none guides to the best of them except You, and turn away from me their evil, for no one turns away their evil except You. At your service and to your grace, and all good is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I am by You and to You. Blessed and Exalted are You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You."
And when he bowed, he said: "O Allah, to You I have bowed, in You I have believed, and to You I have submitted. Humbled before You are my hearing, my sight, my marrow, my bones, and my nerves."
And when he raised his head, he said: "Allah listens to the one who praises Him. Our Lord, and to You belongs all praise, filling the heavens and the earth, filling what is between them, and filling whatever else You wish afterwards."
And when he prostrated, he said: "O Allah, to You I have prostrated, in You I have believed, and to You I have submitted. My face has prostrated to the One Who created it, fashioned it, and perfected its form, and cleft its hearing and sight. Blessed is Allah, the best of creators."
And when he concluded the prayer with the salutation, he said: "O Allah, forgive me for what I have sent before and what I have delayed, what I have concealed and what I have declared, what I have exceeded in, and what You know better than I do. You are the Promoter and You are the Delayer. There is no god but You."
