Narrated Samurah ibn Jundub; Ubayy ibn Ka'b
Samurah ibn Jundub and Imran ibn Husayn discussed a matter, and Samurah ibn Jundub narrated that he had memorized from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) two periods of silence: a silence when he began the prayer, and a silence when he finished reciting:
{ Not of those with whom Thou art angry, nor of those who go astray }Samurah memorized that, while Imran ibn Husayn disputed it with him. They wrote about that to Ubayy ibn Ka'b, and in his reply to them, or in his response to them, he stated that Samurah had memorized correctly.
