حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّأُمَّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ، سَمِعَتْهُ وَهُوَ، يَقْرَأُ ‏‏{‏ وَالْمُرْسَلاَتِ عُرْفًا ‏}‏ فَقَالَتْ يَا بُنَىَّ لَقَدْ ذَكَّرْتَنِي بِقِرَاءَتِكَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ إِنَّهَا لآخِرُ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ بِهَا فِي الْمَغْرِبِ ‏.‏

Um al-fadl daughter of al-Harith said

Umm al-Fadl bint al-Harith heard him—while he was reciting:

By the emissaries sent consecutively

—and said: O my little son, you have reminded me by your recitation of this surah; indeed, it is the last thing I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recite in the Maghrib prayer.
