Anas ibn Hakim ad-Dabbi said: He feared Ziyad, or Ibn Ziyad, so he came to Medina and met Abu Hurayrah. He asked about my lineage and I told him my lineage. He said: O young man, shall I not narrate a hadith to you? I said: Yes, may Allah have mercy upon you.
Yunus said: I think he mentioned it from the Prophet (ﷺ), who said: "Indeed, the first of what the people will be called to account for on the Day of Resurrection among their deeds is the prayer. Our Lord, Majestic and Exalted is He, will say to His angels - while He is most knowing: 'Look into the prayer of My servant, whether he completed it or fell short in it.' If it is complete, it is recorded for him as complete. And if there is any deficiency in it, He will say: 'Look to see if my servant has any voluntary prayers.' If he has voluntary prayers, He will say: 'Complete the obligatory prayer of My servant from his voluntary prayers.' Then the deeds shall be taken in that manner."
