Sending Salat Upon The Prophet (saws) After The Tashah-hud Sunan Abi Dawud 976
Translation
Ka’b b. ‘Ujrah said
We said, or they said: O Messenger of Allah, you have commanded us to invoke blessings upon you and to greet you. As for the greeting, we already know it; so how should we invoke blessings upon you? He said: Say: O Allah, bestow Your favor upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You bestowed Your favor upon the family of Abraham; and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
