Those Who Said He Should Complete (The Prayers) Based Upon His Strongest Judgement Sunan Abi Dawud 1029
Translation
Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When one of you prays and does not know whether he increased or decreased, let him perform two prostrations while sitting. And when the devil comes to him and says, "You have invalidated your ablution," let him say, "You have lied," unless he perceives a smell with his nose or a sound with his ear.
And this is the wording of the tradition reported by Aban.
Abu Dawud said: Ma'mar and Ali ibn al-Mubarak said "Iyad ibn Hilal," and al-Awza'i said "Iyad ibn Abi Zuhayr."
