حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، نَزَلَ بِضَجْنَانَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بَارِدَةٍ فَأَمَرَ الْمُنَادِيَ فَنَادَىأَنِ الصَّلاَةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ‏.‏ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ وَحَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ أَوْ مَطِيرَةٌ أَمَرَ الْمُنَادِيَ فَنَادَى الصَّلاَةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ ‏.‏

Nafi said

Ibn ‘Umar dismounted at Dajnan on a cold night, and he commanded the caller (to prayer), so he proclaimed: "Verily, the prayer is in the saddles." Ayyub said: And Nafi narrated to us on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to, whenever there was a cold or rainy night, command the caller, and he would proclaim: "The prayer is in the saddles."
