حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ نَادَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ بِالصَّلاَةِ بِضَجْنَانَ ثُمَّ نَادَى أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ قَالَ فِيهِ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ كَانَيَأْمُرُ الْمُنَادِيَ فَيُنَادِي بِالصَّلاَةِ ثُمَّ يُنَادِي ‏"‏ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ وَفِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَرَوَاهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ فِيهِ فِي السَّفَرِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْقَرَّةِ أَوِ الْمَطِيرَةِ ‏.‏

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar

Nafi' reported: Ibn Umar made the call to prayer at Dajnan, then he announced: "Offer prayer in your dwellings." He then narrated from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he used to command the announcer to call the adhan, and then announce: "Pray in your dwellings" on a cold night, on a rainy night, and during travel.

Abu Dawud said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated it from Ayyub and Ubayd Allah, and in it he stated: "During travel, on a freezing night or a rainy night."
