Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاتِكَةِ الأَزْدِيُّ، عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ الْعَنْسِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ لِشَىْءٍ فَهُوَ حَظُّهُ " .
Translation
Hisham ibn ʿAmmar narrated to us: Sadaqah ibn Khalid narrated to us: ʿUthman ibn Abi al-ʿAtikah al-Azdi narrated to us, from ʿUmayr ibn Haniʾ al-ʿAnsi, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Whoever comes to the mosque for something, that is his share.’
