Speaking While The Imam Delivers The Khutbah — Sunan Abi Dawud 1113

Three types of people attend Friday prayer: A man who attends it in a frivolous manner, and that is his portion from it; a man who attends it making supplication, so he is a man who supplicated Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, if He wills He gives to him, and if He wills He withholds from it; and a man who attends it with attentiveness and silence, and does not step over the neck of a Muslim, nor harms anyone, so it is an expiation until the following Friday, with the addition of three days. That is because Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says:

{ Whosoever comes with a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof }
