Women Going Out To The 'Eid Sunan Abi Dawud 1139
Translation
Umm 'Atiyyah said
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to Medina, he gathered the women of the Ansar in a house and sent to us Umar ibn al-Khattab. He stood at the door and gave us the greeting of peace, and we returned the greeting of peace to him. Then he said, "I am the messenger of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to you." And he commanded us concerning the two Eids, that we should bring out in them the menstruating women and the virgins, and that there is no Friday prayer upon us, and he forbade us from following funeral processions.
