Translation
Abu 'Aishah said
Sa'id bin al-'As asked Abu Musa al-Ash'ari and Hudhaifah bin al-Yaman: How did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say the takbir during al-Adha and al-Fitr? Abu Musa said: He used to say the takbir four times, similar to his takbir over funeral prayers. Hudhaifah said: He is correct. Then Abu Musa said: That is how I used to say the takbir in Basra when I was in authority over them. Abu 'Aishah said: And I was present when Sa'id bin al-'As asked.
