Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " جُعِلَتْ لِيَ الأَرْضُ طَهُورًا وَمَسْجِدًا " .
Translation
ʿUthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Jarir narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, from Mujahid, from ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿUmayr, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘The earth has been made for me a means of purification and a place of prayer.’
