Sunan Abi Dawud 528
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، أَوْ عَنْ بَعْضِ، أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ بِلاَلاً أَخَذَ فِي الإِقَامَةِ فَلَمَّا أَنْ قَالَ قَدْ قَامَتِ الصَّلاَةُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَقَامَهَا اللَّهُ وَأَدَامَهَا " . وَقَالَ فِي سَائِرِ الإِقَامَةِ كَنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ عُمَرَ - رضى الله عنه - فِي الأَذَانِ .
Sulayman ibn Dawud al-ʿAtaki narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Thabit narrated to us: A man from Syria narrated to me, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Umamah—or from one of the Prophet’s Companions—that Bilal began the iqamah. When he said, ‘The prayer is about to begin,’ the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘May Allah establish it and make it enduring.’ The rest of the iqamah was like the report of ʿUmar regarding the call to prayer.
