Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم اسْتَخْلَفَ ابْنَ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ يَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ وَهُوَ أَعْمَى .
Translation
Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman al-ʿAnbari Abu ʿAbd Allah narrated to us: Ibn Mahdi narrated to us: ʿImran al-Qattan narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Ibn Umm Maktum to lead the people in prayer while he was blind.
