حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ مَاذَا تُصَلِّي فِيهِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ فَقَالَتْتُصَلِّي فِي الْخِمَارِ وَالدِّرْعِ السَّابِغِ الَّذِي يُغَيِّبُ ظُهُورَ قَدَمَيْهَا ‏.‏

Zaid b. Qunfudh said that his mother asked Umm Salamah

That she asked Umm Salama, "In how many garments may a woman pray?" She replied, "She may pray in a headcovering (khimār) and a long, enveloping garment (dir' sābi') that covers the tops of her feet."
