Translation
The aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Zaid bin Khalid al-Juhani through a different chain of narrators. This version has

Ahmad bin Hafs narrated to us, my father narrated to me, Ibrahim bin Tahman narrated to me, from Abbad bin Ishaq, from Abdullah bin Yazid, from his father Yazid, the freed slave of Al-Munbi'th, from Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani, that he said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked, and he mentioned something similar to the hadith of Rabi'ah. He said: And he was asked about a lost item (luqtah), so he said: "Announce it for a year; if its owner comes, give it to its owner; otherwise, take note of its strap and its container, then mix it into your wealth. If its owner comes, then deliver it to him."
