Sunan Abi Dawud 3941

Muʾammal narrated to us: Ismaʿil narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ, with the same meaning. He said: Nafiʿ would sometimes say, ‘Otherwise, only the portion freed by him is free,’ and sometimes he would not say it.
