Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ فَلاَ أَدْرِي هُوَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ شَىْءٌ قَالَهُ نَافِعٌ وَإِلاَّ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ .
Translation
Sulayman ibn Dawud narrated to us: Hammad narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ, with this hadith. Ayyub said: I do not know whether the words ‘otherwise, only the portion freed by him is free’ are part of the Prophet’s ﷺ hadith or something Nafiʿ said.
