حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ نُفِسَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ بِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ بِالشَّجَرَةِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَنْتَغْتَسِلَ فَتُهِلَّ ‏.‏

'Aishah said

Uthman bin Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Abdah narrated to us, from Ubaydullah, from Abdurrahman bin al-Qasim, from his father, from Aishah, who said: Asma bint Umays gave birth to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr at al-Shajarah. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) commanded Abu Bakr to instruct her to take a bath and assume ihram.
