حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، - قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ خَالِدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ خَالُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ رَوَى عَنْهُ، حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ - عَنْ جَهْمِ بْنِ الْجَارُودِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ أَهْدَى عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ نَجِيبًا فَأُعْطِيَ بِهَا ثَلاَثَمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّيأَهْدَيْتُ نَجِيبًا فَأُعْطِيتُ بِهَا ثَلاَثَمِائَةِ دِينَارٍ أَفَأَبِيعُهَا وَأَشْتَرِي بِثَمَنِهَا بُدْنًا قَالَ ‏"‏ لاَ انْحَرْهَا إِيَّاهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ هَذَا لأَنَّهُ كَانَ أَشْعَرَهَا

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar

Al-Nufayli narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Abu al-Rahim - Abu Dawud said: Abu al-Rahim is Khalid ibn Abi Yazid, the maternal uncle of Muhammad ibn Salamah; Hajjaj ibn Muhammad narrated from him -, from Jahm ibn al-Jarud, from Salim ibn Abdillah, from his father, who said: 'Umar ibn al-Khattab gave a fine camel as an offering, and he was offered three hundred dinars for it. He came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I gave a fine camel as an offering, and I was offered three hundred dinars for it. Should I sell it and buy camels for sacrifice with its price?" He said: "No, slaughter it yourself."
