حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏لاَ تُسَافِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ ثَلاَثًا إِلاَّ وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ ‏"

Ibn `Umr reported the Prophet (SWAS) as saying

Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us: Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from 'Ubaydullah, who said: Nafi' narrated to me, from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "A woman must not travel for three days except with a Dhu Mahram (a male relative within the prohibited degrees of marriage)."
