حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَصْحَابُهُ لأَرْبَعِ لَيَالٍ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَلَمَّا طَافُوا بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏اجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً إِلاَّ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْىُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ أَهَلُّوا بِالْحَجِّ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ قَدِمُوا فَطَافُوا بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَمْ يَطُوفُوا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ

Musa ibn Ismail narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Qais ibn Sa'd, from Ata ibn Abi Rabah, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and his companions arrived when four nights of Dhul-Hijjah had passed. When they performed Tawaf around the House and between As-Safa and Al-Marwah, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Make it an 'Umrah, except for those who have the sacrificial animal with them.' When the Day of Tarwiyah came, they assumed ihram for Hajj, and when the Day of Sacrifice came, they arrived and performed Tawaf around the House, but they did not perform Tawaf between As-Safa and Al-Marwah.
