حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، قَالَ قَالَ الصُّبَىُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ أَهْلَلْتُ بِهِمَا مَعًا ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عُمَرُهُدِيتَ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏

Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab

Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Jarir ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, from Mansur, from Abu Wa'il, who said: As-Subayy ibn Ma'bad said: "I assumed ihram for both of them together." Thereupon Umar said: "You have been guided to the Sunnah of your Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
