حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلاَّمُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمَّادَخَلَ مَكَّةَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ ‏.‏

When the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) entered Makkah, he circumambulated the House and prayed two rak'ahs behind the Maqam, meaning on the Day of the Conquest.
