حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، قَالَ قَالَ مَالِكٌلاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يُجَاوِزَ الْمُعَرَّسَ إِذَا قَفَلَ رَاجِعًا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ فِيهَا مَا بَدَا لَهُ لأَنَّهُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَرَّسَ بِهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ الْمَدَنِيَّ قَالَ الْمُعَرَّسُ عَلَى سِتَّةِ أَمْيَالٍ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ

Narrated Malik

It is not fitting for anyone to pass al-Mu'arras when returning to Medina without praying therein as much as he wishes, because it has reached me that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) halted there for the night.

Abu Dawud said: I heard Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Madini say: Al-Mu'arras is at a distance of six miles from Medina.
