Sunan Abi Dawud 4249
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ كَفَّ يَدَهُ " .
Translation
Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Faris narrated to us: Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, from Shayban, from al-Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: “Woe to the Arabs because of an evil that has drawn near! Successful is the one who restrains his hand.”
