Translation

Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Faris narrated to us: Affan ibn Muslim narrated to us: Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us: Asim al-Ahwal narrated to us, from Abu Kabshah, who said: I heard Abu Musa say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Ahead of you are trials like patches of a dark night. A man will be a believer in the morning and an unbeliever in the evening, or a believer in the evening and an unbeliever in the morning. During them, the one sitting is better than the one standing; the one standing is better than the one walking; and the one walking is better than the one hurrying.” They asked, “What do you command us?” He replied, “Be like the furnishings of your houses.”
