Sunan Abi Dawud 4265
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، يُقَالُ لَهُ زِيَادٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ فِتْنَةٌ تَسْتَنْظِفُ الْعَرَبَ قَتْلاَهَا فِي النَّارِ اللِّسَانُ فِيهَا أَشَدُّ مِنْ وَقْعِ السَّيْفِ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ رَوَاهُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ الأَعْجَمِ .
Muhammad ibn Ubayd narrated to us: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us: Layth narrated to us, from Tawus, from a man named Ziyad, from Abd Allah ibn Amr, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “There will be a trial that will sweep away the Arabs; those killed in it will be in the Fire, and the tongue in it is more forceful than the sword.” Abu Dawud said: al-Thawri narrated it from Layth, from Tawus, from al-Ajam.
