Translation

Muslim ibn Ibrahim narrated to us: Hammad narrated to us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from Mujalid ibn Awf: Kharijah ibn Zayd said: In this very place I heard Zayd ibn Thabit say that the verse, “Whoever kills a believer deliberately, his recompense is Hell, to remain therein,” was revealed six months after the verse in al-Furqan: “Those who do not invoke another god alongside God, nor kill a soul God has forbidden, except with right.”
