Sunan Abi Dawud 4278
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أُمَّتِي هَذِهِ أُمَّةٌ مَرْحُومَةٌ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهَا عَذَابٌ فِي الآخِرَةِ عَذَابُهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا الْفِتَنُ وَالزَّلاَزِلُ وَالْقَتْلُ " .
Translation
Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us: Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us: al-Masudi narrated to us, from Said ibn Abi Burdah, from his father, from Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “This community of mine is a community shown mercy. It will have no punishment in the Hereafter; its punishment in this world is trials, earthquakes, and killing.”
