Anas ibn Malik reported that a Bedouin came to the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and pressed his eye to a crack in the door. The Prophet took an arrow—or a pointed stick—and aimed toward the Bedouin to put out his eye. The man went away, and the Prophet said, “Had you stayed, I would have put out your eye.”
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic gives two alternatives for the object: an arrow or a pointed stick.
