حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِدَابَّةٍ قَدْ وُسِمَ يُدَخِّنُ مَنْخِرَاهُ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا، لاَ يَسِمَنَّ أَحَدٌ الْوَجْهَ وَلاَ يَضْرِبَنَّهُ.

Khalid narrated to us. He said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by an animal that had been branded, with its nostrils smoking. He said: 'May Allah curse the one who did this. No one should brand the face or strike it.'
