Isma‘il narrated to us. He said: Malik narrated to me, from Nafi‘, from Abd Allah ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: ‘When a person under authority is sincere toward his master and worships his Lord well, he receives a double reward.’
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The verb nasaḥa can convey sincere counsel and loyalty; ‘is sincere toward’ preserves that range here.
إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا نَصَحَ لِسَيِّدِهِ،
Nasaḥa includes sincere counsel and faithful conduct, not only giving advice.
Should the translation use ‘is sincere and loyal’ to make the broader sense clearer?
