حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: إِنَّ اللَّعَّانِينَ لاَ يَكُونُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شُهَدَاءَ، وَلا شُفَعَاءَ.

Sa‘id ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Ja‘far informed us: Zayd ibn Aslam informed me, from Umm al-Darda’, from Abu al-Darda’, who said: The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Those who curse will not be witnesses or intercessors on the Day of Resurrection.’

The Arabic plural اللعّانون refers to people who habitually curse; the two roles they will not hold are witnesses and intercessors.
