حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَوْدُودٍ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى قَيْسٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَلاَ تَلْمِزُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ}، قَالَ: لاَ يَطْعَنُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ.

Ibn ‘Abbas, commenting on the words of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, ‘Do not defame one another’ (Qur’an 49:11), said: Do not criticize one another.
