حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: مَا سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَيْئًا فَقَالَ: لا.

Qabisa narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir, who said: ‘The Prophet ﷺ was never asked for anything to which he replied, “No.”’

The Arabic is an emphatic negative: whenever he was asked for something, he did not refuse.
