حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ شُمَيْسَةَ الْعَتَكِيَّةِ قَالَتْ: ذُكِرَ أَدَبُ الْيَتِيمِ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي لأَضْرِبُ الْيَتِيمَ حَتَّى يَنْبَسِطَ.

Muslim related: Shuʿbah related to us, from Shumaysah al-ʿAtakiyyah, who said: The proper discipline of an orphan was mentioned in the presence of ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she said, ‘I would indeed discipline an orphan until he became at ease.’
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
يَنْبَسِطَ means to become open, at ease, or cheerful. The witness’s ‘until he submits’ is more specific than the Arabic clearly supports.
