Muhammad ibn Yusuf related to us: Sufyan related to us, from Hisham, from ‘Urwah, from ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, who said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said, ‘Do you kiss your children? We do not kiss them.’ The Prophet said, ‘Can I do anything for you, when Allah has removed mercy from your heart?’

The question is rhetorical and the phrase أملك لك may be expressed idiomatically in English.
Would ‘What can I do for you, when Allah has removed mercy from your heart?’ better preserve the force?
